Car sharing is easy to use, great for the environment and helps you save time and money.
Car sharing members can access cars when they need want them, without the hassles and costs associated with owning their own vehicle. Car sharing fits in perfectly with the SomerVille ethos. Employment, services and great friends are all available within the village and you probably won't need a car as much as you did before moving to SomerVille.
Instead covering the depreciation, insurance and all the other costs for a rarely used car, SomerVille residents can simply book out a Nexus car when they need to. The cars are fully owned and looked after by Nexus, so you don't have to worry about anything. Nexus does all the work and pays all the bills - even petrol!
SomerVille Enterprise Champion
As well as being a great service, Nexus Car Share is also one example of an enterprise started through the SomerVille Enterprise Champion process. Car sharing didn't exist in WA until SomerVille helped Nexus get off the ground. They provided business mentoring, a customer base and most importantly motivation, which were all critical to getting Nexus off the ground.
